How often is the UK HPI updated?

The official UK HPI is updated monthly, roughly six weeks after the month it covers. WealthMap pulls the latest data on-device.

Can I track property in Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland?

Yes. The UK HPI covers England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland, with regional and local-authority breakdowns. WealthMap supports all four.

Do I need to enter my property's exact address?

Address-level granularity isn't required. You can enter the local authority area and WealthMap will apply that area's HPI.

Why use the UK House Price Index

The UK House Price Index (HPI) is the official measure of residential property prices in the UK. It's produced jointly by HM Land Registry, the Office for National Statistics, Registers of Scotland, and Land & Property Services Northern Ireland.

Unlike Zoopla's Zestimate or Rightmove's automated valuations — which estimate individual property prices based on listings — the HPI tracks the actual sale prices of properties in your local authority area, updated monthly.

For tracking the value of a property you already own (rather than selling), the HPI is the more accurate benchmark.

How WealthMap tracks UK property
