A few
useful answers.
Is BikeDex only for mountain bikes?
BikeDex is designed around mountain-bike care, including suspension, tyres and fitted parts. You can keep multiple bikes in your garage and choose the service intervals that suit their components.
Can I use it without Apple Health?
Yes. Health access is optional. You can log rides manually or import GPX files. BikeDex does not record GPS rides and does not connect to Strava.
Will it tell me whether my bike is safe to ride?
Maintenance timings are estimates based on your records and configured intervals. They do not inspect your bike or measure wear. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and consult a qualified mechanic when needed.
Does every product link work?
No. Website access, available product information and import allowances can affect the result. You can review and correct suggestions, keep the source link and enter missing details manually.
What can I share with a mechanic or buyer?
Export a PDF service report from your saved records. It is a useful history of recorded work, not an independent inspection or safety certificate. Review notes and any included photos or receipts before sharing.
What happens when I change phones?
Equipment and service records can sync through your private iCloud account. Ride records, bike assignments and usage readings stay on the original device and are excluded from backups. They do not automatically transfer to a new phone.
